This is a story for over 70 years of continuous family tradition in the architectural profession and provision of quality services in the area of architecture, urban planning and interior design.
Initially Beyazov Architectural Bureau was founded in 1932 by the
late Vassil Beyazov Senior, who graduated from Technische Hochschule
Berlin in 1929. Major projects accomplished in the following years
include several small town hotels, a movie theater, post office
and bank office buildings, realized in various Bulgarian Cities,
which brought Mr. V.Beyazov a lasting reputation as one of the most
talented Bulgarian architects.
His son Stefan Beyazov continues the tradition, and during his 38
years of architectural practice has served as principal architect
on a wide range of residential and commercial projects of all sizes.

Vassil arrives on the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten (part of the Netherlands Antilles) in February 2003 completing his adventurous sailing trip across the Atlantic. This opens up a lot of new opportunities for professional development. He gets involved in various projects on the island as a freelance architect.
Undoubtedly the highlight of this period is his commission to design The Cliff at Cupecoy – luxury condominium complex with budget exceeding US $40 million. The developer’s goal is to deliver the most distinctive beachfront residential complex on the island featuring full range of amenities and exclusive level of luxury. Local architectural firm subcontracts Vassil to serve as a principal architect of the project but the magnitude of the job requires substantial part of the architectural work to be outsourced overseas - in Bulgaria, involving the rest of the family crew and using Internet technologies to achieve an extended collaborative environment. That’s how the fruitful cooperation between IXI Design N.V. and Beyazov and Son Architecture Ltd. gets established. The construction works of the Cliff are presently near completion.
In 2005 Vassil sets sail again, this time on even longer voyage across the Pacific, which brings him not only unforgettable experiences on the Polynesian islands and at sea but also new challenge in the professional field – an year contract on a senior design position with the New Zealand architectural practice – Peddle Thorp and Montgomery Ltd.
In the recent years, the youngest family member - Maria in addition to the common architectural work in the Sofia office focuses her endeavors also in the area of interior design, developing and managing with her partner their own design firm.
Design Studio M has now established reputation and impressive portfolio of completed projects.
